Police make more drug-related arrests in Cape Town

There have been at least four drug busts in the Boland and Cape Town area over the past three days.

CAPE TOWN - Police have made two drug related arrests following two busts this week.

There have been at least four drug busts in the Boland and Cape Town area over the past three days.

In total, drugs with a street value of close to R4 million were confiscated.

In the most recent incident, a man was arrested in Ottery for the possession of tik to the value of R22,000.

A tip-off led to the arrest of a Parkwood man for the possession of R10,000 worth of dagga yesterday.

On Monday, three people were taken into custody for the possession of 4.6kg of dagga worth R50,000; they also had R4,000 cash on them.

Yesterday, a truck driver was apprehended on the N1 outside Paarl when police found 774 kilograms of dagga worth an estimated R3.8 million in his vehicle.
