Tony Ehrenreich hits back at Patricia de Lille
Tony Ehrenreich has laughed off Patricia de Lille’s comments about him being 'no match for her'.
CAPE TOWN - The African National Congress' (ANC) Tony Ehrenreich has hit back at Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille who says Ehrenreich would be no match for her in the upcoming local government poll.
De Lille was speaking at the Cape Town Press Club, saying for the past five years, Ehrenreich has made the same speech "over and over again".
She's also called the ANC an ineffective opposition in the Mother City.
Ehrenreich has laughed off de Lille about him being no competition for her.
"I'm sure I would be no competition for her among the wealthy people of Camps Bay that she sneaks in to have fancy lunches with, but there may be a little bit of a competition amongst the people of the Cape Flats who she so sadly neglected during her five years as mayor."
Meanwhile, the ANC has not confirmed whether it would again choose Ehrenreich as mayoral candidate.
The party says it will announce the names of its mayoral candidates for metro municipalities in two weeks.
