CT cops swoop on illegal abalone processing facility
Two people were arrested at the Grassy Park house at around 11pm last night.
CAPE TOWN - Police have swooped on an illegal abalone processing facility in Grassy Park.
Two people have been arrested.
Cape Town railway police members made the bust at a house in the area at around 11pm last night.
Officers confiscated a substantial amount of abalone.
The police's Debbie Alard says two suspects have been taken into custody.
"The members immediately followed up on the information and visited the address. Upon arrival, they found two rooms of equipment. The third room was utilised as a drying room."
