CAPE TOWN - Organisers of the Good Food and Wine Show say they've had an increase in the number of visitors to Cape Town this year.

This year the event, which is currently on at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, is focused on sustainability and promoting a healthier planet.

Event organiser Maria Chieppa says this weekend is proof of why the show is the biggest culinary event in Africa, with about 30 thousand visitors flocking to the Mother City event.

"We expect to grow by at least 20 to 25 percent of visiting people."

The Johannesburg leg of the event will take place in July before finishing off in Durban in October.
