MyCiTi bus drivers embark on wildcat strike in Table View
It’s unclear what the strike is about, but drivers are preventing buses from leaving the main depot.
CAPE TOWN - MyCiTi bus services in Table View have been disrupted by a wildcat strike.
The City of Cape Town says striking drivers are preventing buses from leaving the main depot.
Service disruptions! Update: There are currently no buses on routes, 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 251, 260, & 262. 261 operating with 2 buses.

The city's Brett Herron says it's unclear what the strike relates to.
"There are some drivers who are employed by Kidrogen which is one of operating companies that runs the MyCiTi service for us. We've been unable to get the other operating companies to operate those routes for us as we can't get the buses out of the depo. Kidrogen's management is engaging with the drivers."
Please be advised that one of the vehicle operators is experiencing labour action from bus drivers. Service disruptions are expected.
