NEW YORK - Young South African filmmakers are learning the ins-and-outs of the global movie market at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
While some of the country's top producers are attending the event, a host of up-and-coming movie makers are as well.
Filmmakers like Bianca Schmitz and Shane Vermooten from Media Village, who are in their mid-20s, are learning the lessons of attending their first international film market.
Vermooten directed a film about organ-selling on the black market called bypass.
The two are part of 17 filmmakers as part of the national film and video foundation's South Africa delegation.
