Two teens burn to death in Kraaifontein shack fire

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating a double murder after two teenagers were burned to death in a shack fire in Kraaifontein.

It's unclear what caused the fire that led to the death of the 15-year-old girl and the 18-year-old man in the Wallacedene informal settlement last night.

The police's Frederick van Wyk says the gang unit is investigating the incident and several people have already been questioned.

"The investigation is currently at a very sensitive stage so we cannot elaborate any further in the matter. We ask the community to get involved, anyone with information about this tragic incident, is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer."
