[LISTEN] Minister confirms letter calling for Zuma - Gupta probe has been received

| Public Service & Administration Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi’s office has confirmed it received a letter from directors-general, calling for an inquiry into allegations of state capture by the politically connected Gupta family.

JOHANNESBURG - A group of 27 former civil servants has written a letter bringing attention to ongoing allegations of state capture by the Gupta family.

The group has apparently called on government to set up an independent public inquiry to probe claims that the Gupta family are using their friendship with President Jacob Zuma to pressure officials to make decisions that favour the controversial family's business interests.

Listen to the Soundcloud above as 702's Stephen Grootes speaks to Public Service and Administration Department spokesperson Mahlodi Muofhe about the issue.
