Cops arrest 2 in R500k abalone bust

CAPE TOWN - Police have arrested two men in Bellville for the possession of abalone worth R500,000.

The pair were nabbed yesterday.

The police's Noloyiso Rwexana says members of the Bellville Neighbourhood Watch assisted in apprehending the suspects.

"Yesterday police acted on information and followed it. They drove to an address where they discovered 25 boxes of dried abalone."
