Cops search for more suspects in Diepsloot tavern murder
A 17-year-old boy was killed at a local tavern and two suspects have been arrested so far.
JOHANNESBURG - Police are searching for seven suspects believed to be behind the killing of a 17-year-old Diepsloot boy at a local tavern.
Two suspects have so far been arrested following the robbery at a tavern in Extension 12 over the weekend.
The police's Daniel Mavimbela says its alleged nine armed suspects robbed patrons and then randomly opened fire, killing the teenager and wounding another customer.
"We've launched a manhunt for the remaining suspects. The suspects will be charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery and malicious damage to property. The suspects are expected to appear in Randburg Magistrates Court soon."
