CT advocacy group to fight Metrorail price hike

CAPE TOWN - Advocacy group Public Transport Voice says it will oppose a potential hike in Metrorail train fares.
The rail operating service has been plagued by arson attacks and persistent vandalism, which impede its services.
Annual Metrorail fare increases generally come into effect from 1 July, although no official announcement has been made with regards to a hike this year.
The organisation's Dalton Ndongeni says, "They have poor communication and the train can stop out of the blue and there will be no communication on how long the train will take or what caused the train to stop there."
