Weekend accidents claim three lives in CT

Authorities arrested 7 drunk drivers in a weekend that saw 3, including a 5-year-old girl, lose their lives.

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape officials have issued traffic fines worth over R200,000 for various violations this weekend.

Authorities have also arrested seven drunk drivers in a weekend that saw three people, including a five-year-old girl, lose their lives on the road.

More than 1,000 motorists were tested for alcohol use in various roadblocks throughout the Western Cape as well.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says, "The highest speed recorded was 155 kilometres in 100 kilometre zone on the N1 Highway near Worcester."
