CAPE TOWN - The Khayelitsha Magistrates Court has heard details of how a Makhaza woman, whose body was buried in a backyard, may have been killed.

Monwabisi Mbombo made a brief appearance in the court today where he faces a charge of murder.

The 23-year-old man was arrested following yesterday's discovery of remains believed to be that of Anelisa Dulazane, who went missing in January.

The prosecutor told the court Mbombo pointed out to police where he buried the victim.

He says the woman's hands were tied when the body was recovered.

Prosecution explained that a State witness will testify the accused had an argument with the victim on the night she disappeared.

It's also alleged he assaulted her.
