CT metro cops: 2 arrested in connection with Liberty Promenade Mall robbery

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town Metro Police officials have arrested two men believed to be linked to a robbery at a Mitchells Plain mall.

A gang of about six men robbed a supermarket at the Liberty Promenade Mall yesterday.

It's believed the robbers posed as customers and held up two security guards before fleeing with a bag of money.

The metro police's Wayne le Roux says the suspects have been handed over to the South African Police Services.

"Metro police received information of the incident that took place at the Liberty Promenade Mall and the information was immediately passed on to our mobiles in the area and we managed to take in two suspects."
