Zephany Nurse turns 19, spends time with biological family
Zephany was snatched from her sleeping mother's arms at Groote Schuur Hospital when she was three-days-old.
CAPE TOWN - The biological family of Zephany Nurse says they celebrated her 19th birthday with her last night.
Zephany was snatched from her sleeping mother's arms at Groote Schuur Hospital when she was three days old.
The Lavender Hill woman who had raised her as her own, was recently convicted in connection with her abduction in 1997.
Zephany's biological grandmother, Marilyn Francis, says her daughter, Celeste, Zephany's biological father Morne Nurse, and their other three children went to wish the teenager a happy birthday.
She is still living in Lavender Hill with the man she's called her father since her abduction 19 years ago.
Francis says the young woman is studying hard to complete her matric at the moment.
She says her family will continue trying its best to build a relationship with her.
