#ANCCrash victims to be remembered in joint service today

JOHANNESBURG - Ten African National Congress (ANC) volunteers killed in a bus crash in the Free State will be remembered today during a joint memorial service in Vosloorus.
The five men and five women were killed on Sunday when the bus transporting them home from the ANC manifesto launch in Port Elizabeth veered off the road and overturned.
Police are investigating the conduct of the two drivers who were on duty at the time of the crash.
Katlehong community members, ANC leaders and bereaved families will gather today at the civic centre in Vosloorus to remember the 10 people who died on their way home.
A few hours after hearing of her sister's death in the crash, Joyce Sithole told Eyewitness News that she was overwhelmed by the support her family has received.
"We are feeling the support of the community, the council, the board, and Ekurhuleni at large."
On Tuesday, the bodies of the victims were handed over to their families after they were brought back from the Free State.

A joint funeral will be held for nine of the victims on Saturday, with the family of one person, Vusi Nkabinde, choosing to bury him in KwaZulu-Natal.
