Kraaifontein brothers who allegedly choked principal could be expelled
The siblings allegedly went to the principal’s office together where they apparently tried to strangle him.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Education Department says two Kraaifontein brothers will know today whether they will expelled from their school after they allegedly assaulted their principal.
A disciplinary hearing was held last night at Monument Park High School.
Officials say one of the brothers had been disciplined for disrupting a class last week.
The siblings then went to the principal's office together where they apparently tried to strangle him.
The Provincial Education MEC's spokesperson Jessica Shelver says, "Both learners were temporarily suspended pending a disciplinary hearing. The principal was booked off at work until last Friday. All those who were present at the time of the incident are receiving counselling."
