MyCiTi services suspended in Dunoon
Commuters are using taxi services this morning after two MyCiTi stations were damaged in protests.
CAPE TOWN - MyCiTi bus services in Dunoon have been suspended after two stations were severely damaged in recent protests in the area.
The situation is considerably calmer this morning following running battles between protesters and police.

Several foreign-owned shops were also looted in the area.

Authorities are maintaining high visibility this morning as scores of residents make their way to work and school.

Long queues can be seen at a taxi rank opposite the Dunoon MyCiTi bus station.
The MyCiTi bus stations have been damaged while rocks and cement blocks litter the area.

It's not clear at this stage how long the bus service will be suspended for.
