Six killed after taxi, car collide in Pietermaritzburg

JOHANNESBURG - Six people have died in a collision in Pietermaritzburg.

Paramedics say a taxi and car collided this morning.

At least 11 others have been injured.

Netcare 911's Chris Botha says, "When we were in Lynnwood Road in Pietermaritzburg, we found that a taxi and a car had a partial head-on collision, the taxi then overturned and rolled down the road. The passengers were thrown from the vehicle while it was rolling. The cause is currently unknown."
