Al-Qaeda-linked group claims responsibility for blogger's murder

JOHANNESBURG - A group affiliated to Al-Qaeda in Bangladesh has claimed responsibility for the recent killing of an atheist blogger.
Nazimuddin Samad is the sixth writer or publicist to be killed in the capital of Dhaka by machete-wielding attackers in the past 14 months.
The 26-year-old student was on his way home when he was cornered.
CNN's Ivan Watson reports that the group claims responsibility for what they call the "slaughter" of Samad as "punishment" for his insult to Islam and the prophet Muhammed.
The US government has condemned the attack.
