JOHANNESBURG - Outsourcing Must Fall leaders say their member Vusi Mahlangu who mysteriously disappeared last week in the Eastern Cape has been arrested by the Hawks. He will appear in court today on charges of perjury and defeating the ends of justice.

Mahlangu was last seen travelling in a taxi, en route to a meeting with workers from the Walter Sisulu University.

He then sent a message saying he thought he'd been kidnapped and was bleeding, before his phone was switched off.

It's not clear when or how Mahlangu was found, but yesterday he spent the day with investigators making statements regarding his disappearance.

His colleague Vuyo Mntonitshi says details are still sketchy.

"From our side what we now know is that he has been detained for perjury, which means lying under oath. I am not sure about the exact details or what transpired in that meeting yesterday."
