SABC dismisses over 100 employees for fraud

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has dismissed 123 employees with immediate effect after they were found guilty of defrauding a medical aid scheme.
The State broadcaster initially investigated around 200 people for various illegal activities before instituting disciplinary action against them.
The SABC's Kaizer Kganyago said, "This is the end of it and we have been investigating this for a long time and, after we got all the facts, we went through the disciplinary process and this is now the result of that."
