JOHANNESBURG - Hawks officials are searching for a gang that abducted a mother and her daughter outside Tzaneen in Limpopo.

Despite the kidnappers demanding a ransom for their release, the two were let go unharmed yesterday without money exchanging hands.

This is the second such incident in the province in recent weeks.

Hawks spokesperson Robert Netshuinda says officers are investigating whether the same gang is responsible for both incidents.

"We are still looking for them and we are going to charge them with kidnapping."
