Competition Commission investigates several companies for alleged collusion

JOHANNESBURG - The Competition Commission of South Africa (CCSA) says its conducting search and seizure operations at the head offices of PG Glass, Glasfit, Shatterprufe and DigiCall in Gauteng as it investigates alleged collusion.

The CCSA is investigating claims of price fixing and division of markets by PG Glass and Glasfit in the provision of fitment and repair services.

The commission believes there is relevant information on the premises of the four firms.

Spokesperson Itumeleng Lesofe said, "The commission uncovered information that suggests that there may be some arrangement between the two entities so therefore we have decided to conduct raids."
