At what age can your kids stay home alone?

Creative parenting expert Nicky Bush spoke to CapeTalk’s John Maytham about leaving kids home alone.

CAPE TOWN - Leaving your children home alone may not seem like a big deal if you're popping out to get some milk.

But what is the acceptable age to leave your children home alone and is it wise to leave a younger child in the care of an older sibling?

The BBC recently reported that 500 people were arrested in Wales and England between 2014 and 2015 for leaving children unattended.

The matter has raised questions about leaving children unattended.

Creative parenting expert Nicky Bush believes there a number of factors to consider when making a decision to leave children home alone.

In the SoundCloud above, Bush chats to CapeTalk's John Maytham about the issue.
