Tshwane EMS discover body washed away by flash flood

JOHANNESBURG - Tshwane Emergency Services say rescue workers have recovered the body of a man who was washed away by flash floods on Wednesday.

His wife tried to jump in the river to save him but was unsuccessful.
The rescue mission took some time as the vehicle was washed further down the river.
Emergency Services' Johan Pieterse said, "The vehicle was taken onto shore and unfortunately the body could not be found inside the vehicle then the second mission started and they managed to find the body on the outskirts of the river."
