JOHANNESBURG - The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) has launched a campaign named 'TeamSA Rise.
The #teamSArise campaign is aimed at supporting South Africa's Olympic and Paralympic athletes as they make their final preparations to represent the nation in Brazil later this year.

Sascoc CEO Tubby Reddy said, "In recent times South African citizens have been chanting songs ending with the phrase…..must fall, but our late icon Nelson Mandela alluded to sport as having the power to change the world."
Sascoc president Sam Gideon added that TeamSA will rise and do the nation proud, supporting Reddy's call for support.
"The Road To Rio 2016 Campaign that started immediately after the London 2012 Olympic Games is now entering the final stretch. To intensify the Rio 2016 campaign, we are now launching the TeamSA Rise campaign.
"Support our TeamSA to Rio. We know that the SA public are ready to support the team as we get ever closer to the Games by meeting and getting to know our athletes."
Gideon said through this campaign Sascoc will show the nation they believe 10 medals for this campaign is achievable.
