Nigel Home Affairs employee arrested for fraud
The Hawks searched the employee's office and house and found numerous fraudulent documents.
JOHANNESBURG - A Home Affairs employee has been arrested in Nigel for allegedly issuing over 300 fraudulent birth certificates.
The woman has been working for home affairs for 11 years and has been under investigation since January last year.

The Hawks searched her office and her house and found numerous fraudulent documents.
The woman was led out of her office with her hands tied behind her back as her shocked colleagues looked on. WATCH: Home Affairs official arrested for fraud.
At her double-storey Germiston home officers found numerous documents.
Home Affairs spokesperson Mayihlome Tshwete says the department is taking a zero-tolerance on corruption.
"To have a job isn't something you take lightly, those people who are betraying the trust that is being given to them are going to be dealt with severely."
Her child screamed as she was led into the police vehicle. The woman will be charged at the police station and appear in court soon.
