Man (65) killed during home robbery in Azaadville
It’s understood the robbers broke into their home in the early hours of this morning while they were sleeping.
JOHANNESBURG - A 65-year-old man believed to be an employee of NGO Crescent of Hope, has been killed and his 29-year-old son wounded after they were shot at their home in Azaadville, west of Johannesburg.
It's understood two armed men broke into their home in the early hours of this morning while they were sleeping.
The suspects tied up the family demanding cash and valuables.
The police's Rebecca Phiti said nothing was taken from the house.
"The son heard from his room and he came screaming. When he screamed, the suspects took out the firearm and shot the son. The son didn't die. They then shot the father who died on the scene."
