CSA mum on Alviro Petersen questioning in match fixing scandal
Reports say another Lions player Lonwabo Tsotsobe is also apparently being investigated.
CAPE TOWN - Cricket South Africa has declined to comment on its investigation into the match-fixing investigation despite reports emerging that Alviro Petersen has also been questioned.
Earlier this year, Gulam Bodi was banned from all cricketing activities for 20 years for his role in match-fixing during the Ram Slam T20 last year.
Reports say another Lions player, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, is also apparently being investigated.
Lions Chief Executive Officer, Greg Fredericks, says he's been assured by Petersen that there's nothing to worry about.
"I don't know about it. I have obviously been inundated with court; I have not read the article, but there are rumours flying around and Alviro's assured me there's nothing to worry about."
