CAPE TOWN - Police say they haven't made any new breakthroughs in their investigations into a shooting incident at a Hawston biker rally which claimed the lives of two people.

A fatal shooting at the rally earlier this month resulted in the death of biker Rudi Salo and 18-year old Randy Burgess.

Burgess' mother, a top police officer in Hermanus, and two others were wounded in the incident.

In the days following the shooting police arrested a man believed to be linked to the incident but he was later released due to insufficient evidence.

Randy would have celebrated her 19th birthday yesterday with her twin sister, Ray.

The twins' mother, Rounita, remains in hospital after she was wounded in the attack.

Police say the investigation continues.
