CAPE TOWN - A Hawston woman, who was shot and killed at a biker rally earlier this month, would've celebrated her 19th birthday today.

For her twin, Ray Burgess, this will be her first birthday without her sister, Randy, who was shot dead at a biker rally three weeks ago.

Her mother was seriously wounded in the same incident.

A family friend, Rudi Salo, was also shot and killed at the rally.

Messages of support and good wishes have flooded in to identical twins, Randy and Ray Burgess', Facebook page. It is their 19th birthday today.

Their older sister, Kay-Lee writes, on her wall: "I will carry your legacy with me in my heart. Happy Birthday my Angel I know u dancing with the angels today [sic]."

During Burgess' funeral in Hawston two weeks ago, Kay-Lee, who was very close to her younger sister, couldn't contain her sobs.

The girls' mother Rounita, the acting police station commander in Hermanus, along with two others, were wounded in the shooting.

She is still in hospital but no longer in a critical condition.

Police say no arrests have yet been made.
