The Parlotones donates a portion of its profits to Anene Booysen Foundation

CAPE TOWN - South African rock band, The Parlotones, have joined scores of Bredasdorp locals who pledged support against gender-based violence in the Overberg town.
The group donated proceeds from ticket sales at a fundraising event yesterday to the Anene Booysen Foundation.
The charity was set up to help victims of sexual violence following Booysen's brutal rape and murder three years ago.
We had an awesome weekend in Reitz and Bredasdorp. Thanks for coming around!
Event organiser Lynn-Ann Du Preez said, "Because it has been three years, this is now a good time for us to establish something not only for Bredasdorp, but for all in the region. The Parlotones are contributing 30 percent of their ticket earnings to the Anene Booysen Foundation in aid of safety for women and children in South Africa."
