1 child dead, another wounded in gang related shooting
The young female victims are said to have been caught in the crossfire between rival gangs in Bishop Lavis.
CAPE TOWN - The police in Bishop Lavis have launched a manhunt after a 12-year-old girl was gunned down in a suspected gang shooting.
It's alleged the girl was caught in the crossfire between two rival gangs while walking to the local arcade with a friend on Saturday.
Her 15-year-old friend was reportedly shot at least six times in the incident.
The police's Noloyiso Rwexana says the 15-year-old victim is currently in hospital.
"We can confirm that cases of murder and attempted murder are under investigation, after the incident which occurred on Saturday at Short Street."
