WC road accidents claim two lives

CAPE TOWN - Two people have died on Western Cape roads since the start of the weekend.

Twenty-six roadblocks were held across the province in which more than 2,000 vehicles were stopped and 31 drunken drivers arrested.

One driver that was locked up had an alcohol level five times over the limit.

Traffic chief Kenny Africa said, "One driver lost his life in a motor vehicle accident and a pedestrian was killed in a motor vehicle accident. This brings the total fatalities to two so far."
