CAPE TOWN - Well known South African actress Shaleen Surtie-Richards is doing well after being robbed yesterday.

Surtie-Richards was driving in heavy traffic in Johannesburg with her window down when the assailant approached her car.

A necklace with a Krugerrand and her most prized possessions, her parents' wedding bands, were ripped from her neck.

Surtie-Richards says she should've trusted her instinct.

"As we came to these guys I thought I can't close my window now. If I close my window they are going to think I think they will rob me. Maybe I should have just done that and practiced my thought."

The actress was not harmed in the incident.
