Survey: SA still hasn't developed a culture of saving
More than half of the respondents admitted their December salaries wouldn't see them through this month.
CAPE TOWN - A survey has revealed many South Africans still haven't developed a culture of saving.
Money for Jam, a so-called micro-jobbing platform, conducted the survey and found more than half of the respondents admitted their December salaries wouldn't see them through January.
Money for Jam's Andre Hugo shared some advice on saving money.
"Every little bit counts. If you can, try to save R50 or R100 to R200 a month. Overall, with compounded interest, it all adds up. Try and save as much as you can."
