UWC investigates employee accused of sexually assaulting 10 boys
The IT administrator allegedly lured the boys into his home with sweet treats & fun-filled outings.
CAPE TOWN - The University of the Western Cape (UWC) has launched an internal investigation into claims an employee raped at least 10 boys between the ages of eight and 13.
The 47-year-old man appeared in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court yesterday, where the matter was postponed to 8 March.
The man from Elsies River is said to have won his alleged victims' trust and lured them into his home with sweet treats and fun-filled outings.
While he faces several counts of rape and sexual assault, officials expect to add more charges as the investigation continues.
UWC has launched its own probe into the accused who is on contract as an IT administrator.
The accused will remain behind bars.
