Four Free State farmers released on R5k bail each for murder
The farmers were arrested for allegedly beating two men to death.
JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks say four Free State farmers who are facing murder charges have been released on bail of R5,000 each in the Parys Magistrates Court.
The farmers were arrested for allegedly beating two men to death whom they suspected of being involved in a farm attack in Parys.
Different support groups clashed outside court today as farmers sang Die Stem and ANC supporters sang Dubula Ibhunu.
The Hawks' Hangwani Mulaudzi said, "The case has been postponed to 12 February pending further police investigations. There will be many claims levelled against our investigations but I'm sure they are disappointed by the outcome."
