PRETORIA - Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) management says everything is in place for final exams to proceed at its Soshanguve campus on Monday.

The end-of-year exams were postponed last year following violent protests, which left several buildings and vehicles damaged.

Some students raised concerns surrounding tuition fees and the outsourcing of services.

TUT's Willa de Ruyter says students started arriving on campus this week as the final preparations were put in place for the exams.

"They will start writing 2015 final exams on Monday and the exams will conclude on 29 January."

De Ruyter says management is keeping a close eye on the situation to avoid any further disruptions and delays.

"There is sufficient security at the campus and all the lecturers are available assisting the students."

She says the academic programmes at the remaining TUT campuses have not been affected.
