CAPE TOWN - At least 15 people were injured in a road accident in Alberton, east of Johannesburg, this morning.

It is alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.

Paramedics say the passengers and the driver sustained minor to moderate injuries and have all been rushed to hospitals in the area.

ER24's Chitra Bodasing said, "They were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care. At this stage, the cause is unknown. However, authorities were on scene investigating."
