Temperatures expected to rise in Gauteng, Northern Cape this week

A heatwave warning has been issued for the NC & forecasters say little rain is expected in Gauteng.

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service says Gauteng should expect very little rain this week as temperatures are expected to rise.

It also issued a heatwave warning for the Northern Cape, despite isolated thunder showers being forecast.

Forecaster Madimetja Thema said, "We're expecting isolated thunder showers over the central and western interior up to Wednesday and Thursday. For the east and northeastern parts of the country, we're expecting very little chances of rain for this week."
