DJ Black Coffee released on bail following speeding offence
He was held at the Florida police station for reckless driving and released on bail of a R1,000.
JOHANNESBURG - It has emerged that the popular South African DJ who was arrested for speeding on Christmas Eve was house DJ Black Coffee, who was clocked driving at 200 kilometeres in a 120 kilometre zone in a Maserati.
Nkosinathi Maphumulo was arrested on the N1 highway on the West Rand in Gauteng.
He was held at the Florida police station for reckless driving and released on bail of a R1,000 on the same day.

Black Coffee has tweeted a statement apologising for speeding. Media reports said a DJ was arrested for speeding in a Maserati.

He is due to appear in court tomorrow and has since apologised on twitter.
JMPD's Wayne Minnaar has urged motorists to obey road rules and warns that no one is above the law.
"Motorists are encouraged to report reckless driving at 0861 400 800. The less serious offenders will receive a notice via the post about their bad driving behaviour, while the most serious offenders will be arrested in the New Year."
