Severe storms set to hit Gauteng and Mpumalanga

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of severe storms for Gauteng and Mpumalanga this weekend.
The weather service says rainy conditions are expected to worsen next week and spread into parts of the Free State.
The weather service has also warned of the possibility of veld fires in parts of the North West.
Forecaster Dipuo Tawana said, "People are advised to be very cautious with during those thunder storms. Another warning we have is high fire danger conditions expected over the interior of the Northern Cape, western parts of the Free State and the North West province. We are not expecting much rain over the western parts of the country."
