CAPE TOWN - The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (Contralesa) says abaThembu King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo is not scared of going to prison.

He's expected to hand himself over to correctional services by tomorrow.

King Dalindyebo was convicted in 2009 on a range of charges he was found guilty of committing in the early 90s.

Upon appeal the king's original 15-year sentence was reduced to 12.

However, the Constitutional Court upheld the 12-year sentence when King Dalindyebo attempted to have the sentence set aside.

Contralesa's Xolile Ndevu says they've written to ask President Jacob Zuma for a seven or 14-day extension.
