3 killed in N1 collision outside De Doorns

CAPE TOWN - Three people have been killed and three others injured in a collision on the N1 outside De Doorns.

The crash, involving several vehicles, happened early this morning.

Today's accident brings the number of people killed on Western Cape roads since the beginning of this month to 104.

ER24's Chitra Bodasing says paramedics and emergency personnel are still on the scene.

"We can confirm at this stage that there were two hatchback vehicles, one a Ford Focus and one an Opel Corsa. Paramedics are still busy on the scene."

Yesterday, four people, including a five-year-old child, were killed on the same road in a crash involving four taxis.
