JOHANNESBURG - Pikitup says striking employees have reported for duty after yet another work stoppage.

Yesterday workers reneged on an agreement to end a two week long strike, downing tools again over salaries and working conditions.

Employees had reportedly not made any new demands during this week's stoppage.

The refuse management company says workers have been given an ultimatum to return to work and have their grievances addressed while they are on duty.

Pikitup spokesperson Jacky Mashapu says, "There was an agreement that we should basically follow the process to look at all the issues of Pikitup. These issues will basically be looked at the global scale from the Johannesburg perspective. We are basically disappointed to see the union reneging from that agreement."
