ANC condemns #ZumaMustFall marches
The ANC says SA needs the collective participation of all citizens, including the opposition.
JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) has denounced all #ZumaMustFall marches around the country, saying they go against the spirit of reconciliation.
The ANC says South Africa needs the collective participation of all citizens, including opposition to ensure we unleash its potentials and sustain achievements.
The ANC's Keith Khoza said, "While there is a commitment to reconcile and move on, we still have a minority that is moving away from that objective."
Meanwhile, the Economic Freedom Fighters' Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says reconciliation will continue to be a 'superficial concept' if it is not accompanied by radical, economic transformation.
"To continue speaking and preaching reconciliation when the majority of black people continue to live in the same conditions as colonisation and apartheid is itself an oppressive discourse."
