CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police say there's been a reduction in business robberies in the province since April.

Despite this, officials say filling stations are still vulnerable to criminals.

A filling station in Sunningdale was hit yesterday.

Security guards were collecting cash boxes when they were robbed by a gang of gunmen.

The police's Tanya Hosking says it appears fewer malls are being targeted.

"We have actually had a 15 percent reduction in our business robberies. Some initiatives are working and we are consulting with the role players involved."
