Patrice Motsepe brings early Christmas to Soweto children

JOHANNESBURG - Christmas has come early for hundreds of children in Soweto.

Over 3,000 toys were distributed to disadvantaged children in the Orlando community this afternoon.

Hundreds of children in Orlando were left smiling after receiving early Christmas gifts.

South African Business man Patrice Motsepe and his wife, Precious, were joined by a number of celebrities including, singer Donald and Doctor Malinga who joined them to hand out the toys on behalf of the Motsepe Foundation.

He said he was humbled to be able to give back to his own community.

"It's a humble way to give back to give back to the place where I was born. It's part of the broader obligation that I have."

The foundation plans to distribute over 200,000 toys to disadvantaged children around the country.
